Moving into the Kirwan home
Supported independent living (SIL) is NDIS funding for help with everyday tasks at home: personal care, cooking, cleaning, medication prompts and getting out into the community. Seareal provides the support in this house, and you live here as a tenant with your own room.
1. A phone chat
Tell us how you live now and what's in your NDIS plan. Ten or fifteen minutes is usually enough to know whether this home is worth a visit.
2. Checking funding
If SIL is already funded we prepare a roster of care and quote for this household. If not, your support coordinator can lodge a home and living request with the NDIA.
3. Visiting Kirwan
See the room, the shared spaces and the street. Bring family or anyone you trust and, where the residents agree, meet them over a cuppa.
4. Agreements and move-in
You sign a service agreement for the support and a separate tenancy or occupancy agreement for the home. We plan the move around you and check in often for the first few weeks.
